Cinematographer / Camera Operator

I have shot for a wide range of projects from music videos, documentary, narrative film, commercials, corporate videos and live multi-camera event TV. I have been studying and creating films for over 10 years.

I am well versed in the operation of most 16mm, 35mm, and HD cameras. I used to work at Clairmont Camera Hollywood and had access to the best cameras and leneses available, next to Panavision. I assisted the departments of Camera Testing/Repair, Lens Repair/Cleaning, High Definition lab, Batteries, and Rental Operations. In my free time I would setup a camera package with all its accessories and test out various lenses from Zeiss Super Speeds to Cooke S4s to Arri Master Primes and Hawk Anamorphics on a director’s viewfinder and lens projection systems.

I have been reading American Cinematographer and great books on cameras/lenses/lighting for years and love the art of cinematography. I have used most lighting and grip equipment in the industry.

If you’re interested in meeting me about working in your production, please contact me. I can work with a wide range of budgets to help accommodate your project.

Gaffer / Lighting Tech

I have used most professional lighting and grip equipment in the industry. I know how to setup, evenly light, and operate several forms of green/blue screens and motion tracking techniques.

Jib / Crane Operator

I know how to build and operate several types of cranes and jibs. I am familiar with operating most remote heads.

Assistant Camera

I have worked as a 1st AC, 2nd AC, Loader, and Steadicam Assist. I know most 16mm, 35mm, and HD cameras. I know most lenses and follow focus systems such as Preston and Bartech BFD.

Still Photographer

I have 35mm SLR experience and have developed and printed film in a darkroom for several years. I also have used most of the latest digital SLR format cameras and lenses.

Steadicam Operator

I have been professionally operating Steadicam
for over 7 years. I own Steadicam equipment and have been professionally trained to use it by some of the top Steadicam Operators in the world.

I began my venture into Steadicam as a teenager. I owned a small handheld rig when I was 16 that was used on my personal projects and events such as weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs. I have been operating ever since. The small rig used the same concepts and principals as the full size Steadicam rig that I own now.

My day rate depends on the project, so please
send a copy of your script and tell me more about your production so I can give you a quote.

Editor

I am proficient in AVID Media Composer, AVID Adrenaline, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and software such as Maya, After Effects, Photoshop, Flash, Encore, and DVD Studio Pro. I have been editing for 10 years.

I also have a strong background in compression,
color correction, video engineering, vectroscopes, duplication, and VTR deck operation.

I have worked as an editor, assistant editor, and
Panasonic P2 data organizer. I used to work at
post house EFX Media in Washington DC.

Computer Engineering / Repair

I grew up with the technology of today and
yesterday. I have been using PCs and surfing the
web since I was 8 years old, which was 15 years
ago. Do you remember CompuServe and Prodigy? I had accounts with both of those in addition to AOL and was spending all my free time surfing away, chatting with god knows who, and playing whatever software I could get my hands on.

Today I am capable of building (part by part) a
computer and troubleshooting both hardware and software on most computers. I have been there for DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, and Vista.

I'm a born PC guy, but I've had a fair share of Mac exposure. I've used every Mac operating system since Macintosh II. I have some experience setting up and using Linux as well.
